Gwinnett commissioners approved an agreement May 19 for Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services to provide clinical services to students enrolled in the Lanier Technical College’s EMS program. The relationship will provide an opportunity for students in the EMS program to experience emergency situations and complete required clinical hours.

Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services is one of five fire departments in the nation to have its own accredited EMS education program and the first in Georgia to be approved by the Committee on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs for its Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic program.
