Overseeing Gwinnett’s more than 600 sex offenders has received national recognition for Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) employee Casey Duffield.

Duffield and GCSO use the software management tool OffenderWatch to manage, track and verify registered sex offenders, all of which helps aid in investigations and works to improve public safety. Of the more than 3,000 agencies and 14,000 users in the OffenderWatch network, the company selected Duffield and GCSO to receive the award.

Duffield was recognized for coordinating information between the Georgia Sheriff’s Association and Georgia Bureau of Investigation. She also works as a trainer for other sheriffs’ offices seeking to meet statute requirements.
