Gwinnett County won’t take up changes to a proposed commercial development at Coolray Field until next month.

Two developers have proposed scaling back a planned commercial development at the baseball stadium and building more apartments instead. Local residents and some county officials object, saying the upscale development originally proposed was a key selling point when Gwinnett officials agreed to spend $64 million to build the stadium for the Gwinnett Braves.

The Municipal-Gwinnett County Planning Commission was scheduled to take up the proposals today but will postpone action until April 3, according to Chairman Chuck Warbington.
