Gwinnett County police seek two suspects in woman’s death

Police were called to the Amber Trail Apartments in unincorporated Duluth in regards to an apparent homicide.

Gwinnett County police are searching for two suspects after an apparent homicide near Duluth.

Shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday, police were called to the Amber Trail Apartments in unincorporated Duluth. The caller said a woman had been shot in the 1900 building. When they arrived, officers found the woman had died from her injuries. Police later identified her as 53-year-old Kim Bessellieu.

They also found 48-year-old Kevin Hudson in the parking lot. He had sustained non-life threatening injuries. The man had attempted to confront the shooter or shooters. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is recovering.

The Gwinnett County Crime Scene Unit and Homicide Unit are investigating. A K-9 unit is tracking the suspects, whom witnesses identified as two black males wearing all black clothing with masks.
