Gwinnett County will celebrate National County Government Month in April to “highlight essential county government services and programs,” according to a release from the county.

Gwinnett will observe this year’s theme of “Healthy Counties, Healthy Families,” with events including a Get Out and Play Day at local county parks Saturday.

Sponsored by the National Association of Counties, the month helps raise public awareness and understanding about the roles and responsibilities of the nation’s counties.
