Gwinnett commissioners approved a request May 29 to rezone 2.31 acres in Buford from agricultural residence to single-family residential for inclusion in a larger development totaling 29.50 acres. The land is located on the south side of Gravel Springs Road, across from its intersection with Ivy Creek Road. The property currently contains a two-story single-family dwelling which would be removed.

The overall project will be developed with 133 lots with 4.5 homes per acre. The site approved for the zoning change will provide an entrance for the development with eight lots developed to the same standards as those in the rest of the community. The plan includes a minimum 2,200 square-feet for one-story homes and 2,400 square-feet for two-story homes with three-side brick, stacked stone or shake and two-car garages.
