Gwinnett District 2 Commissioner Ben Ku and District 4 Commissioner Marlene Fosque were recently presented with certificates for successfully completing the core requirements of the ACCG Lifelong Learning Academy.

County officials who complete the 66 hours of required courses for core certification achieve the status of Certified County Commissioner.

“The Lifelong Learning Academy was created to help county officials expand their skillset, equipping them to address the challenges they face and to take advantage of opportunities to improve their respective communities,” said ACCG Executive Director Dave Wills.

According to information provided by the county, “the Lifelong Learning Academy was created with input from county commissioners who identified courses based on the issues and decision-making challenges regularly faced by county officials.”
