1/13
Najlaa Mcintosh becomes emotional during testimony by GCPD Detective James Sweeney. Chief Magistrate Kristina Hammer Blum presides over hearing for a Gwinnett man and his daughter who are charged with starving the man's child to death and withholding food from the child's 21-year-old mother, who weighed 59 pounds when she was found. Calvin Mcintosh and his daughter, Najlaa, appear in the probable cause hearing Friday, December 5, 2014. Judge Blum found there was probably cause for cruelty to children and murder charges and bound their case over to Superior Court. She said that due to the charges, the court did not have jurisdiction to set a bond. KENT D. JOHNSON/KDJOHNSON@AJC.COM
