A fire hydrant that was spraying water high into the air in Midtown late Sunday night has been capped.

A truck reportedly struck the hydrant on Monroe Drive near Piedmont Avenue before 1o p.m. Sunday.

The spewing hydrant had been repaired by Monday's morning commute.
