Forsyth County Sheriff's Office investigators raided a trailer Tuesday and arrested a man for practicing medicine and dentistry without a license.

Captain Frank Huggins said when investigators arrived, they found Eli Jacob Sandoval-Rodas in the trailer he was renting on Wills Road in the southern part of the county with a dental patient in his chair.

"We developed information about a month ago that he might be practicing medicine and dentistry without a license," Huggins said.

So they watched people come and go from the trailer and were able to get a search warrant. During the search, officers found medicines and equipment that Sandoval-Rodas apparently ordered from Guatemala, which is where he was also sending dental molds to have replacement teeth made.

Investigators think he may have been practicing dentistry as long as five years in the area, with Latinos as clients, Huggins said.

He said that Sandoval-Rodas is here illegally and that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will be notified.

Sandoval-Rodas was released after posting a $22,935 bond.
