A community group battling to keep Walmart from opening a supercenter in Suburban Plaza just north of Decatur recently lost its court battle in DeKalb Superior Court.

The dismissal of Good Growth DeKalb’s challenge to the building permit means the 149,000 square foot project can now move forward. Work is slated to begin by year’s end.
