There's a new nonprofit in town to help the homeless get back on their feet.

Back on My Feet, which promotes self-sufficiency by encouraging running, recently opened an Atlanta chapter.

Thirty men and women, who are homeless, will participate in the nonprofits inaugural run. Back on My Feet is a six to nine month program that works with people living in homeless facilities.

The first 30 days is running. After that period, if a person maintains a 90 percent attendance rate then they move into the Next Steps program. That program helps with job training  programs and provides information on education and housing.
