When Senquavious Driver, a high school senior from Griffin, Georgia, spotted an 81-year-old woman struggling to enter a local Dollar General, he made it his duty to help.

Senquavious immediately ran over to assist the woman, who had recently fallen and injured her back and face, walk from the parking lot to the store. He even stuck around to help her shop.

His aunt, Connie Belle Jenkins Sweet, documented the random act of kindness in a Spalding County Facebook group, writing that her nephew "brought tears to (her) eyes."

"I take proud in knowing and being apart of his life. It brought tears to my eyes because he wanted to help her and not even knowing her situation she was so glad he took the time to help her. I HAVE A AWESOME NEPHEW I PRAY GOD continues to DO GREAT THINGS IN HIS LIFE. Good Senqua #TRAINemUP #WHENkindnessHASNOcolor #justLOVE"

As of Friday afternoon, the post has garnered more than 1,700 likes and over 100 shares, inviting hundreds of positive comments and making Senquavious a local hero.

When Dollar General representatives heard, they teamed up with the Atlanta Hawks and decided they wanted to surprise the teen and share this message of kindness.

The Hawks cheerleaders visited Griffin High School in Georgia on Wednesday morning to surprise Senquavious with a $500 Dollar General gift card and game tickets to thank him for his random of kindness.

Senquavious told Fox 5 Atlanta that he didn't feel like he did anything special.

"I was just being nice because that's the kind of person I am," he said.
