Grease clog creates small sewer leak
Grease clogged a sewer main Tuesday morning on Pleasantdale Road in Doraville, resulting in a small sewer leak.
About 6,300 gallons of raw sewage dumped into the North Fork of Peachtree Creek before county crews could pressure wash the main to clear the back-up.
DeKalb County plans a major overhaul of its water and sewer system to meet a federal consent decree to prevent such spills.
