The Grayson Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee is tasked with developing an update to the city’s current plan. The public is encouraged to attend a series of meetings to help shape the update at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of each month from June through October at Grayson City Hall. Upcoming dates: July 16, Aug. 20 (open house/visioning session), Sept 17, and Oct. 15.

The Steering Committee will tackle a specific series of topics at each session, with adequate time for follow up from previous meetings. Topics include a review of the previous plan and community vision, new issues and opportunities, and an analysis of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Goals include identifying new economic development and transportation opportunities. The final draft will establish a future development map (character area map/future land use map) and identify new land use issues.
