The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its May 1 regular meeting to approve the preparation and submittal of a contract proposal for Community Services Block Grant funding to the Department of Human Services. The FFY2019 funding level is $231,944 with no local match required. The funds will be used to provide case management, in-home personal care support services and meals to low-income homebound senior adults, according to a county staff report.

The county received CSBG funds for FFY2018 in the amount of $246,499.18.
