Granite arriving for Veterans Memorial Plaza progress in Sugar Hill

Sugar Hill’s Veterans Memorial Plaza is taking shape as granite continues to arrive on the project site. Surfaces Group is installing these pieces as they arrive, but granite production is one of the construction items which may result in the project extending into January. Scheduling also depends on the ability to finish the site over the water vault.

Permanent service branch seals and lettering have been installed on the vertical panels. Benches and bollards are installed. The lighted bollards as well as a few other site furnishings are on schedule for completion before the end of the year. The city is also considering a sidewalk connection to the south on Church Street to tie-in pedestrian access for the project on that side of the plaza.
