The mock trial team from Grady High Sunday beat out six teams from across Georgia to win the state title for the fourth consecutive time. In May, the team will travel to Albuquerque, N.M. to represent Georgia in the national mock trial championship. The competition requires students reenact a trial -- with prosecutors, defense attorneys, defendants and witnesses -- before a panel of professional attorneys and judges. Students were also recognized for individual achievement, including best attorney and best witness.
