Georgia Perimeter College students who meet certain academic criteria will see their credits transfer to Syracuse University, local college officials announced Thursday.

The articulation agreement between the state's largest public two-year college and the private New York college begins next fall and applies to Syracuse's College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering and Computer Science.

Students will complete core courses at Georgia Perimeter and then begin upper level work at Syracuse, officials said.  For the credits to transfer Georgia Perimeter students must graduate with at least a 3.0 grade point average and meet other criteria, officials said.

Georgia Perimeter has transfer agreements with 39 colleges. For more information go to: www.gpc.edu/tag.
