Henry County Water Authority is providing an option for local anglers who like to fish year-round. The authority’s 1,466-acre Tussahaw Reservoir will be open to the public this winter Dec. 13-15, Jan. 10-12 and Feb. 7-9. Hours: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The 2014 regular fishing season reconvenes the first weekend in March. Anglers must have an active HCWA reservoir use permit to fish. Permits are available to Henry property owners and residents for $45 ($25 for seniors and citizens with disabilities). You can obtain the permits at the authority’s headquarters, 1695 Hwy 20 West in McDonough between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Permits are valid for one calendar year. Details: www.hcwsa.com and link to the “recreation/fishing and boating” page under the reservoirs content.
