Country Club of Roswell raised more than $6,000 at a June 30 fundraiser for the Salute Military Golf Association, an organization that introduces golf as a rehabilitation tool to combat-wounded veteran. In all, 68 members participated.

The event featured Tim Lang, a combat-wounded veteran and one of the first graduates of the SMGA program. Lang, wounded in battle at 21, was introduced to golf by the SMGA after enduring 48 surgeries. He credits golf with motivating him to overcome the obstacles he will face the rest of his life.
