Gold Star students, military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty, are invited to a daylong career symposium at Mercedes-Benz Stadium this month.

The Atlanta Falcons and Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation have partnered to give the students a “Behind-The-Scenes NFL Experience.” They’ll receive a tour of the stadium with lunch, have a meet-and-great with players and participate in a Q&A panel with NFL staff members from a variety of professional backgrounds.

“These students have turned tragedy into triumph, dedicating their lives to honoring the sacrifices of their fallen parent,” a Fallen Patriots press release said.

High school seniors, college students and recent college graduates who have lost a parent in the line of duty have already been selected.

The symposium takes place May 7, during National Military Appreciation Month. May 13 marks Children of Fallen Patriots Day.
