Roads will close around the Marietta Square at midnight Wednesday until 10:30 a.m. Thursday for Gobble Jog.

Those roads are North Park, West Park, South Park, East Park and the blocks of Powder Springs Street and Whitlock Avenue that are closest to the Marietta Square.

Also, roads for the race route will close at 7:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving, including North Marietta Parkway (120 Loop), Cherokee Street, Freyer Drive, Allgood Road and Margaret Avenue.

Free parking will be available at the city parking garages or the parking lot near the Marietta Square and the railroad tracks.

Offering a 10K run, 5K run/walk, 1K run/walk and Tot Trot, the race benefits MUST Ministries, a Marietta-based nonprofit that provides food, clothing, shelter and job training to those in need.

Last year MUST helped 32,000 people with two-thirds of them children.
