Peachtree City’s newest recreation amenity has opened just in time for the peak of the summer heat.

A splash pad is now open next to the pool at the Glenloch Recreation Complex, 601 Stevens Entry. Featuring a variety of water-spraying fountains, the splash pad is part of a $467,000 renovation of the pool area that was approved by the City Council last fall. The pool and splash pad are open 1-6 p.m. daily through Aug. 4 and costs $4 for ages 3-11, $5 for ages 12-64 and $3 for guests age 65 and older (cash or checks only); there is no charge for children age 2 and under. Quarterly and annual passes are also available, as are discounted 10-visit punch cards.

Full schedules and pass information are at www.peachtree-city.org and from the Recreation Department office at 770-631-2525.
