DOG JOG SEEKS HELPERS

VetHeart of Georgia and Canine Companions for Independence present the 28th annual Atlanta Dog Jog, a popular community event featuring a 5K and a one-mile run or walk with dogs. The Atlanta Dog Jog will have new a running route this year, still within Piedmont Park. Water will be supplied for participating dogs and their owners. Veterinary services will be provided on the race day and will be sponsored by Georgia Veterinary Specialists. All participants and dogs must be registered. Volunteers are needed for a variety of duties.

When: May 2 (registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and races begin at 9 a.m.)

BROOKHAVEN HOSTS STREAM CLEANUP

In recognition of Water Appreciation Day, Brookhaven seeks volunteers to help collect trash.

PAULDING COUNTY CLEANS UP NEXT WEEKEND

As part of the Great American Cleanup, Paulding County officials and community groups are urging the public to come clean up.
