Fulton County CASA needs voices for children
Many children who are victims of neglect and abuse are removed from their homes and placed in foster care—often far from their friends, families, and schools. Court Appointed Special Advocates volunteers from Fulton County CASA are specially screened and trained to speak up for abused and neglected children who, through no fault of their own, end up in the foster care system.
There are 1.200 children in the child protection system in Fulton County and CASA volunteers are only able to advocate for about 400 children each year.
There is a volunteer information session set for Monday.
When: 5 p.m. Monday
Where: Fulton County Juvenile Court, 395 Pryor Street, SW, Suite 4116, Atlanta
Information: fultoncountycasa.org or 404-613-4720.
