Show local seniors some love
Neighbor Love is organizing events for seniors in metro Atlanta nursing homes this coming Valentine’s Day and could use community help.
The gift bags provide skin lotion (female) or shaving cream (male), a pair of socks and a puzzle book (male) or stuffed toy (female) as well as a piece of fruit ( orange or banana) and a flower. At the party seniors are served food and drink and gift bags are distributed.
After the party, Neighbor Love delivers holiday cards and possibly gifts around the home to residents who cannot attend the party.
Ahead of the event, the organization is in need of overall event organization volunteers and obtaining commitments from people to fill event leadership positions. Event volunteers will provide general organization support.
