DeKalb County pet owners can get their furry friend vaccinated and microchipped for free this weekend.

On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., LifeLine Animal Project is hosting "Healthy Pets DeKalb" at Wade Walker Park. Staff will be on location to provide free vaccinations, microchipping, pet food, collars and leashes for dogs and cats.

They will also provide check-ups and give out vouchers for spaying and neutering, according to LifeLine, which manages animal services in DeKalb.

Registration isn’t necessary; just bring your dogs on a leash and your cats in a carrier, LifeLine said. The park is located at 5585 Rockbridge Road in the Stone Mountain area. Call 678-883-2349 to learn more.
