Video of a Georgia special needs teacher presenting a cap and gown to a student on the brink of not graduating has gone viral.

Griffin High School senior Jamias Howard, 19, was just a few credits shy of completing the requirements for a high school diploma when unknown challenges made it difficult for him to get to school, according to Channel 2 Action News.

His teacher, Kimblery Wimbish, was devastated and decided to take action.

She volunteered her time and met with him everyday after school, the news station reported. Recently, she drove by Howard’s house and surprised him with the cap and gown. She captured the moment in a video that has been viewed more than 5 million times on Facebook.

Howard nearly broke down in tears.

“I love you so much,” he told his teacher.

The video drew the attention of “Good Morning America.” Howard and Wimbish appeared on the show Thursday, and anchor Robin Roberts announced a surprise of her own.

Yoobi, a school supply company, will donate $500 in school supplies to Griffin High.

“It will be great for our students,” Wimbish said.

What’s next for Howard?

Commencement is at 9 a.m. Saturday.

“The most exciting feeling ever in my life,” he told Channel 2. “To graduate. To be a better man. I want to teach kids to graduate. To do better.”
