Richmond, Va.--Jihad Ali scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Georgia State to its school-record 11th straight victory, 55-53, at VCU Wednesday at the Siegel Center.

The Panthers (11-3), who snapped VCU's eight-game winning streak, led by nine points with just over two minutes to play but had to withstand a furious Rams' comeback and survive a final three-point attempt by Darius Theus in the waning seconds.

The win is Georgia State's first at VCU but the marks the Panthers' second win against the Rams in the last three tries.
