A researcher from Georgia State University received a grant to study how sweet potato greens can prevent cancer. Biology professor Ritu Aneja will use the $720,000 grant from the American Cancer Society to continue her research into natural, non-toxic ways to prevent cancer. Sweet potato greens are rich in vitamins and minerals and her preliminary research shows it has anti-cancer potential. Her earlier research revealed anti-cancer properties of whole ginger extract.
