A man walking eastbound on Camp Creek Parkway was struck and killed Monday about 11:40 a.m. by a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban.

Keenen Stapleton, 32, was driving his Suburban when he allegedly hit Norman Gray, 56, in East Point, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

Officials closed Camp Creek Parkway at Washington Road after the crash temporarily shut down all eastbound lanes, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

At one point Monday afternoon, traffic was diverted off Camp Creek Parkway onto I-285.

All lanes reopened with a few delays, according to the Traffic Center.

The crash is being investigated by the GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
