Georgia Power will close a N. Fulton intersection for the next 6 weeks

Drivers going through Sandy Springs between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. might want to avoid one intersection for the next few weeks.

Sandy Springs says that Georgia Power will be working on a project for the next six weeks at the intersection of River Valley Road and Heards Ferry Road.

The work is to upgrade poles and wiring. Lane closures may be necessary, specifically in the northbound lanes of Riverside Drive.
