Georgia’s Supreme Court justices on Tuesday convened a special session of the court to wish the Atlanta Falcons well in the upcoming Super Bowl on Feb. 5 in Houston.

The court’s nine justices, all donning Falcons’ caps, allowed for a photo opportunity in the ornate courtroom and then sat for a photo off the bench. They took a break in the midst of two days of hearing oral arguments in a number of important cases.

Normally, the justices enter the courtroom with a court official bellowing “All rise” to members in the gallery. Today, they filed into the courtroom to the Falcons’ “Rise Up!” slogan.

After Chief Justice Harris Hines thanked the team for a great season, all the justices stood up from their sits and cheered the team on. There were no dissenting opinions.

The justices then returned to business, hearing arguments on an appeal from a murder conviction from Gwinnett County.
