Georgia has one of the lowest rural high school graduation rates in the nation, according to a new study titled "Why Rural Matters." The study found that Georgia, South Carolina, Alaska, New Mexico and Arizonagraduate fewer than 6 in 10 of their rural residents. In concentrated poverty districts of South Carolina and Georgia, about 4 in 10 high schoolers will make it through high school and receive a diploma.
