Geek Squad Summer Academy

About 90 metro area girls spent four days this week learning how to network computers, build their own, conquer HTML and make technology more enviornmentally friendly.

The four-day camp, sponsored by the Girls Scouts, exposes girls to computer technology with classes in networking, Web, computer building and green computing. Kirstin Everson, 14, of Acworth (left) and Melvana Johnson, 13, of Kennesaw look at a modem as they identify parts of a computer.
