Construction partners with the Georgia Department of Transportation will begin setting the overhead structure at the intersection on Friday, May 17. Work over the thoroughfare will require the closure of the intersection from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday morning, May 18.

Detours will include State Route 10/U.S. 78 by way of Henry Clower Boulevard and State Route 124 by way of Oak Road and Henry Clower Boulevard. Police will be present during the construction and lane closures to assist with traffic control during the detour.

This project is the second DLT in Georgia. The project was awarded to Pittman Construction Company in June, 2017 and is expected to be complete by Aug. 31.
