The Georgia Department of Transportation is launching a website that lets visitors track the progress of the Ga. 20 widening project between Canton in Cherokee County and Cumming in Forsyth County.

The website, set to go live Monday, provides latest changes to plans, virtual tours, 3-D renderings of intersections and other information for the 20-mile-long project. To visit the website: https://bit.ly/2Y7wu10

"The concept has seen many changes since the last public information open house in 2017," according to a GDOT announcement. "In an effort to keep everyone informed, the website features a comprehensive list of the changes to ensure that stakeholders understand how the project has evolved since the open house."

Among the changes: revised multiple RCUT (Reduced Conflict U-Turn) locations; removed median U-turn intersections, with Bethelview and Post roads converted to traditional intersections; revised and added truck turnaround locations; and changed detention pond locations and sizes.
