The resurfacing of 10.8 miles of U.S. 41 in Bartow County will begin soon, now that the Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a $3.2 million contract for the work.

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. Inc., Marietta, will mill, inlay and do plant mix resurfacing of U.S. 41, also Ga. 3, according to an announcement by GDOT’s Cartersville office. The project extends from south of Jones Street in Cassville to Piedmont Avenue in Adairsville.

Information on construction and lane closures will be given before work begins, GDOT said. The job is to be completed by the end of July, 2019.
