GDOT sets open house on Cassville-White interchange rebuild

Plans to reconstruct the interchange of Cassville-White Road and I-75 near Cartersville are the subject of an open house Tuesday by the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Bartow County residents are encouraged to attend to review the plans, ask questions and express any concerns they might have, GDOT officials said. The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. at the GDOT District 6 office, 30 Great Valley Parkway, White.
The two traffic lights at the I-75 northbound and southbound ramps are to be replaced with roundabouts "to reduce delays during peak hours caused by vehicles turning left onto the interstate ramps," according to a GDOT announcement.
“The feedback from the public goes a long way in our planning,” said Grant Waldrop, GDOT district engineer. “The open house gives us a chance to hear directly from the people most affected by our projects.”
