Two lanes of southbound I-575 in the Woodstock area will be closed nightly through Thursday morning as crews remove a barrier wall of the Northwest Corridor express lane project, the Georgia Department of Transportation says.

Weather permitting, the lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. between Ridgewalk and Towne Lake parkways. Traffic will use the auxiliary lane to get through the work zone.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and use caution. On-site message boards will be present indicating dates and times of the closures.

The Northwest Corridor project is adding 29.7 miles of express toll lanes along I-75 from Akers Mill to Hickory Grove roads, and along I-575 from the I-75 junction to Sixes Road.
