GBI issues warning about child porn e-mail
The GBI is warning the public about a misleading email with an explicit child pornography video attached.
It has already shown up at least twice in Georgia and might be distributed by a worm virus, through Hotmail. The original email has been tracked to a computer in the Dominican Republic. Investigators are trying to find the person who made the video.
The subject line reads: "VERY Disturbing! TAKE CARE OF YOUR KIDS/they should kill this man, do not open if your [sic] sensitive...click video link."
Those receiving this email should not open the attachment. They should contact the GBI at 1-800-597-TIPS (8477). Two people already had called by Wednesday afternoon.
It is a felony to possess child pornography.
The video is about six minutes long and shows a man having sex with a toddler girl. John Whitaker, GBI special agent in charge of the High Tech Investigations Unit, said one image includes a diaper on the bed next to the child.
"She's responding as if she has done this numerous times and has been trained in what to do and how to do it," Whitaker said. "It's obvious he's been training her from the earliest stages. This is probably not going to be the only video with them in it."
