The price metro Atlantans are paying for a gallon of gas was holding steady Monday at about a dime under $4, but was up slightly from a week ago, according to a website that tracks local prices.

According to atlantagasprices.com, the $3.90 average for regular unleaded early Monday was about the same as on Sunday, but was 2.5 cents higher than a week ago and nearly 30 cents higher than one month ago.

The cheapest gas, according to the website, is $3.69 a gallon at a pair of truck stops along I-75 at Exit 296 in Cartersville and at the Sam's Club on Jonesboro Road in Morrow.

The most expensive gas reported by the website was $4.29 a gallon for regular unleaded at a Chevron station on Cobb Parkway in Marietta.

The national average of $3.93 a gallon is down a penny from last Monday.
