Gas prices across metro Atlanta were holding steady at an average of $3.77 a gallon Monday, but savvy shoppers were paying under $3.60 a gallon at a few southside stations.

That average price reported by the website atlantagasprices.com was up 8 cents a gallon from last Monday and 26 cents a gallon from a month ago.

The cheapest gas reported by the website Monday morning was $3.55 a gallon at Costco in Morrow. A few other stations in Morrow, Union City and Stockbridge were charging between $3.57 and $3.59 for a gallon of regular unleaded.

The most expensive price was $4.09 at a Citgo station on 14th Street in Midtown and a Chevron in Marietta.

Statewide, the lowest price reported was $3.48 a gallon at a station in Ringgold in the northwest corner of the state.

The statewide average Monday of $3.72 was 3 cents a gallon higher than the national average.
