Police have closed a portion of Stanley Road in Kennesaw due to a gas main break.

The stretch is between Collins Road and Old 41, which runs parallel to Ernest W. Barrett Parkway.

About 11:15 a.m. Monday, police had closed access to the Cedar Lakes subdivision but opened it back up about 40 minutes later, according to a Kennesaw police Facebook post.

Police did not provide a timeline for when the road would be reopened but did say to avoid the area.
