Gas line break closes two lanes of South Marietta Parkway

A gas line break forced the two westbound lanes of South Marietta Parkway to be closed in the area of the Cobb County Transfer station, according to police.

Construction workers in the area struck the gas line, Marietta police said around 5:20 p.m.

The center lane was being used for westbound travel, but delays are expected. Commuters are advised to find other routes, if possible.
