A man and his wife were found dead in their Gainesville home Friday, and the initial investigation indicates a possible murder-suicide, authorities said.

Hall County Sheriff’s officials responded to the scene in the 3600 block of Pleasant Hill Drive around 3:45 p.m. upon a report of two deceased people, sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks said.

Deputies learned that the couple’s son had found his 62-year-old parents, Harold and Linda England, dead from apparent gunshot wounds when he came to the residence to check on them, Wilbanks said.

The incident is still being investigated, but preliminary findings indicate Harold England may have fatally shot his wife before killing himself, the sheriff's spokesman said. There also is information indicating Linda England had extensive medical problems, he said.
