Funeral for Kile Glover planned for Friday

The funeral will be Friday for the 11-year-old boy who died after being run over by a personal watercraft on Lake Lanier.

Kile Glover died over the weekend following the July 6 accident. He was the son of Atlanta television executive Ryan Glover and Tameka Foster, who was previously married to entertainer Usher Raymond.

Kile's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Wieuca Road Baptist Church on Peachtree Road in Atlanta, a spokeswoman for the church told the AJC. Willie Watkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kile, who was wearing a life preserver, and a teenage friend were on an inner tube being pulled behind a pontoon boat during an outing with friends and family members, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

A family friend, identified by DNR as Jeffrey S. Hubbard of Atlanta, ran over the inner tube while operating a rented personal watercraft, leaving Kile in critical condition. Hubbard could face criminal charges, according to DNR.

Kile was unresponsive when pulled from the lake following the midafternoon crash, and he and his friend were flown to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. The teen was later released, but Kile succumbed to his injuries.

No further information was available Wednesday regarding additional services or a visitation for Kile, a spokeswoman for the funeral home said.
