Funds approved for Gwinnett courthouse expansion

Gwinnett commissioners approved $772,300 May 19 to renovate the County Courthouse Annex at 750 South Perry St. in Lawrenceville. Eight bids were received with the contract awarded to low bidder, Beatty Construction, Inc. for the construction.

The project includes building out 9,000 square feet of office space on the fourth floor and the demolition and renovation of approximately 3,000 square feet on the third floor for an expanded courtroom waiting area.
