Fulton County has announced a “Together We Are Stronger” town hall forum on opioid abuse for Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Sandy Springs.
Intended to help friends or family members of people dealing with opioid abuse issues, the town hall is to start at 5:30 p.m. at City Springs, 1 Galambos Way, according to a county announcement. The discussion will focus on the opioid crisis and strategies to support recovery from addiction.
The event will be hosted by Fulton and the state, and will offer “candid conversations from two former opioid abusers who will discuss their paths to recovery … (and) advice from experts who can provide guidance to families of substance abusers or individuals seeking help for themselves,” the county said.
Resource information also will be available for all forms of substance abuse. Information: Lynette Allen, 404-612-6531.
